The intent of this e-mail is to express my
opinion of your Scar Zone Topical Scar Diminishing Cream. USPC Code 0
1851560870 3 Exp/02/07 EBAB.
On August 7, 2005, I fell and broke both
bones (Ulna & Radius) in my right wrist. Not to mention, I am a 'right
handed' person. On August 13, 2005, I had to have surgery to put in a
Titanium Rod with seven screws to repair the damage. I had to have PT
twice/three times weekly, after the surgery for weeks. The scar was
hideous. Better known as a Keloid Scar. The scar was not only hideous
to look at but very sensitive to every thing. Not to mention the pain.
I said all that to say this. My therapist
kept saying (no matter how much I expressed to him that the scar and
area around it hurt tremendously) that I just had to deal with it. On
my on I went to Wal Mart saw your product and decided to give it a try.
I would do any thing at that point for some relief. Needless to say,
because of your guarantee on the box I kept the box just in case it
didn't live up to your advertisement. I had plans to return the empty
box for a refund. I have been using the cream for weeks now; I
must tell you it does WORK!!!
I will never be completely rid of the scar
(no fault of your product). But I can honestly say your product helped
me beyond words. I still can't wear long sleeves, but it is getting
better. It has truly been from your product that I have had such
excellent results. Because believe me, once the doctor saw the x-rays
and the inside was healing he wasn't interested in the outside and how
it looks or felt. He had done his job. I had a usable wrist and his
surgery performance was a success. I was fortunate to have the doctor I
had. His alignment job was excellent. But your product is what has
allowed me to get this far.
I would have sent you a digital photo of the
'before' and 'after' but our digital camera broke on Christmas Eve.
Even with doing that, you would not be able to know the relief from the
pain that your product has given me. I just wanted to express a great
'big' thank you for your help. Just wish others could know the
results. I had never seen your Ad on television I solely happened upon
your product on the Wal Mart shelf here in my local area.
Thank you so much. An avid customer.

Scar Zone
smoothes, softens and diminishes appearance of scars!
The skin is the tough supple membrane that covers the surface of the
body. It is the largest organ of the body and is therefore a vital
component in the overall health of the body. The upper layer of the skin
is the first line of defense against environmental pathogens. Both the
dermis and epidermis provide functions essential to overall health.
The skin is composed of five layers of cells, each unique in name as it
relates to function, texture and position. Starting with the deepest
layer, known as the stratum basale, followed by the stratum spinosum, the
stratum granulosum, the stratum lucidum and finally the stratum corneum.
Each layer performs a specific role in the continued health and
maintenance of the skin. The stratum basale anchors the upper layers of
the skin to the underlying tissues while providing new cells to the
outermost layer lost to abrasion. The stratum spinosum contains cells that
have tiny spines on their surface that help permit ease of transition to
the next layer. As the cells make the transition to the next layer, the
stratum granulosum, they become flat, lying parallel with the surface of
the skin.
Over this layer is the stratum lucidum, a clear thin band of tissue
that acts as an interface between the layer directly below and the layer
directly above. The cells in this layer are not visible but provide
structure to the outermost layer. The surface layer is known as the
stratum corneum, which is comprised of squamous, scaly dead cells that
contain keratin. The thickness of this layer varies depending upon the
degree of access to abrasion, thickest in those areas where the greatest
potential for abrasion exist. It is the stratum corneum that is actively
involved in the process of exfoliation whereby the dead skin cells are
shed and protect the underlying healthy tissue from damage as a result of
abrasion.
